    Fairchild Junior Academy Announces its Grand Opening

    On Friday 18 March 2016, Fairchild Canadian Academy celebrated the successful grand opening of its first early learning centre in Hong Kong, Fairchild Junior Academy, which occupies the top floor of the Park Commercial Centre in Tin Hau. The ceremony was officiated by Mr J. Ian Burchett, Consul General, Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao, Mr Thomas Fung Wing-Fat 馮永發, Chairman & CEO, The Fairchild Group, Mrs Amy Fung, Mr Joseph Fung, Managing Director, Fairchild Canadian Academy, Mr Dave McMaster, Head of School, Fairchild Canadian Academy and Ms Kathy Nutting, Director of Learning, Fairchild Junior Academy. Following the symbolic planting of maple trees and surrounded by guests from educational facilities in Hong Kong and Canada, including CUHK, UBC, York House and Bishop Strachan Schools, Mr Burchett declared the centre open.

    Fairchild Junior Academy is the first step on the path of educational development proposed by Fairchild Canadian Academy (FCA). FCA’s first kindergarten is planned to open in a purpose built space in Sai Ying Pun in August 2016, application for which is still in progress for school registration.
