Day 2 of the 2017 CASE Asia Pacific Schools Program, Alex Gibbs and Hong Kong Academy‘s Director of Institutional Advancement Laura Mitchell look at the corporate world for trends and practices to apply to school marketing and communications.

    Alex’s four key takeaways:
    1. We are in are in a “Disruptive”, “Collaborative Economy” where consumer choice is FLUID and consumer voice is LOUD and far reaching so communicate goals and values to your parents and employees clearly and frequently.
    2. Augmented Reality provides us with a new sophisticated platform to showcase our content – embrace it, because it will soon become the norm.
    3. Take risks and be proactive – increased competition among schools is greater than ever so don’t be left behind.
    4. Enjoy this period of change and embrace technology – there has never been a more exciting time to be in educational marketing and development!
